Toorak House

Project Overview:

Embracing a corner position with a majestic street presence, this heritage residence, dating back to 1927, has been thoughtfully updated while preserving its architectural pedigree. Originally crafted by the renowned Architects Arthur and Hugh Peck, the home’s distinctive butterfly design features 45-degree wings that envelop the central entry foyer, optimizing the land’s potential and offering a grand presentation.

Restoration Details:

Our restoration project was committed to honouring the home’s architectural heritage. The brickwork, a pivotal element of the home’s character, was expertly restored and repointed. We meticulously matched the original mortar colour, ensuring the integrity of the Pecks’ vision was maintained. The butterfly design’s unique angles presented a complex challenge, which our team navigated with precision, resulting in a flawless finish that enhances the home’s grandeur.

Outcome:

The residence now stands rejuvenated, its historical essence intact and its brickwork robust for generations to come. The home’s commanding street presence has been revitalised, with the butterfly design’s wings spread wide, symbolizing both the home’s storied past and its promising future.
